You have close to 20 different characters that you can have join your team and you can have six in a battle at a time. There is a lot of exploration on offer here, but I like how the game is quite fast-paced. You will be spending most of your time moving around the dungeons and getting into various battles. It is just that when you are walking around in the first-person these areas feel rather empty and basic. There is a great variety of places you will be going ranging from a dark and dank dungeon to an art gallery. These are done from the first person as you would expect. Where the game shows its age is with the dungeon crawling portions. The sprites in the battles are also done very well and have a decent look to them all. There is a lot of variety here and most of it is done incredibly well, just as good as more modern games. The artwork and CG sex stuff is fantastic and very high-quality.
I will start with the good that the game has to offer in terms of its visuals. I have to be honest and say that when it comes to the visuals, Rance VI is a bit of a mixed bag. Rance is not a hero! He is not even what you would describe as an anti-hero, he is just a bit of an asshole, but that is what makes him so interesting to play as. He is not just joining these to show these mages who is boss, he is joining this group because it is stacked with sexy ladies that he wants to get it on with. The main reason for this choice is due to the fact that Rance X will feature a huge cast of characters appearing in previous Rance games.Rance is not happy with this so he teams up with this group of freedom fighters called The Ice Flame. Unlike Rance IX: The Helman Revolution, Rance X was confirmed to be a classical RPG that uses a 2D graphical representation instead of 3D models like the previous game. Currently, it is scheduled to be released on February 23, 2018. The game was initially scheduled to be released in 2016, but near the end of the same year, AliceSoft stated ( on their blog) that the game will be delayed with no official estimation for its release.
This is the tenth installment in the Rance series which was produced by AliceSoft and this chapter officially marks the end of the 28-year old series, ending with it Rance's adventures. Rance X: Decisive Battle (ランス10－決戦－), formerly known as Rance 10 -Rance Series Final-, is an adult role-playing video game that is currently in development for Windows.
